Dawson (in foster care)'s story
Dawson is a 2 year old, 59 lb Lab Mix.  He is up to date on all shots, HW negative and has been fixed.  He is laid back.  Likes the outdoors but likes to be inside on his doggie bed to sleep at night. He loves to carry around his toys.  Loves  treats and likes to go on walks.  Does well with smaller dogs and those his own size.   Unknown about cats.  Rides well in car.  Has been to Doggie Day Care during the week.  He is crate trained and knows how to use a doggy door.  He love attention and petting. He is a good dog . Dawson does have bilateral hip dysplasia.  The left hip is worse than the right.  He is currently on medication and will eventually need surgery for which we will cover the cost.  With that being said he would do best in a home with few to no stairs. He will need to maintain a stable thin weight.  Dont let Dawsons hip issues hinder your decision on adopting our sweet boy!  Dawson is worth the extra care that he will ultimately need and no worries  he will live a very fulilling life. Dawson happens to be a volunteer favorite!
Would love to find his forever home with another fur sibling/playmate.
