Baxter Scottie, Scottish Terrier Adult Male for sale in Omaha, Nebraska

$400

Baxter's story
Baxter is a 6 year old male Scottie that was recently released from a commercial breeding facility. He is happy and learning social skills in his foster home. Due to his background he is not yet house trained but with time, and patience, he will grasp this concept. For now, he does wear a belly band indoors to inhibit the instinctual marking behavior that will lessen with time. Baxter does not yet understand toys but does like a good bone to chew. He is crate trained and rides well in a crate in the car, sleeps all night in a crate as well.
Because Baxter has never been exposed to children, we suggest anyone applying to adopt him not have children under the age of 8 years old. A SECURE FENCE AND RESIDENT DOG are absolute requirements for Baxter as he lacks leash skills and confidence to successfully potty on leash and a canine companion will help him understand what being a pet dog is all about.
Baxter weighs 15 pounds, has been neutered along with current vaccinations, tested negative for fecal parasites and heartworms, and has had a dental cleaning.
Suggested adoption donation for Baxter is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs. Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.Adoption applications can be found at /adoption-information
