Allie's story
My name is Allie and I am 2-3 years old.  I was picked up as a stray so my history is not known.  I am a  petite cute little girl and I am one who studies before I jump in.  I hold back at first and check out other dogs and situations and once I have scrutinized it carefully I jump in.   I lean more toward alpha so I would be better off with a more submissive dog close to my own size to play with because when I do play I play hard!
My foster mom is working on crate training me and housebreaking me and I am doing really well on both.  I need leash work and training but I am young and since I am good at studying I will make a good student for a patient leader who is willing to take me to classes offering positive reinforcement training.  I am small enough that I could be a lap dog.
I am heartworm positive and the rescue is treating that.  It does not prevent me from being adopted.

All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted.

Please Note:
In most cases we require a fenced yard.
We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason.
Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.
