Muffin Husky Adult Male in Omaha, Nebraska

My story
Muffin is a sweet, mild mannered and relaxed boy. 10/10 adorable.  He is a 2 1/2 yrs old, 57 lb Husky/Malamute mix.

MuffinHistory: It is unknown where I was before, but I ended up in the shelter. All alone and afraid in a place where all the dogs are praying to be saved. I was a lucky one, because this rescue came for me.

kid friendly: Yes! I love kids! I used to live with a 13 year old girl and I used to follow her everywhere!! I loved to cuddle with her and I even clean up her crumbs!

cat friendly! I lived in the house with 3 cats! I really didn't bother them, but sometimes I would go say hi. If they run from me, because for some reason they do I might run after them.

kennel trained: Yes! At first I was not a fan, and I even escaped!  My fosters realized that they have to make sure both locks are secured! They realized they had left one unlatched and I snuck out!  I stay in the kennel when they are gone and for bedtime. My fosters believe that I could be left alone, but there are some grumpy dogs that reside in the house, so it’s best for me to be in my kennel. I can eat in my kennel and am let out when everyone is done, and I do well with that. I usually go to my opened kennel for a chewy treat.

‍leash trained: I am working on it and doing well. I do like to pull but with some more training l can overcome this!

potty trained: Although we can't guarantee no accidents. I have never had an accident in the house!

♥ energy level: Now I know, you hear a husky and think I’m high energy, but I’m really not. I am a great level of chill and playful. If you are outside I love to play ball! If you are inside I’d really rather be there and I’m pretty relaxed. I do get excited when you come home! A tall fence might be a good idea, because I sometimes get curious and might jump a short fence. I do “talk” but it’s usually when you get home or when I know it’s dinner time. I have not chewed anything I shouldn’t in the house. I do love to play with my squeaky babies though!

medical concerns: none.

Gosh I know that was a lot, but I want you to know all about me before you choose to apply for me! My fosters say I’m a great boy who is silly and loves to cuddle! They can’t believe no one has scooped me up yet, but sometimes it takes a while to find the perfect fit! I can’t wait to meet you!

The adoption fee is $350 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.

Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.

*****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, please go to and click Adopt.  Then scroll down to Online Application and select Dog Application.   Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.

Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Humane Society and our mission.
