My story
***Quiet home with no other pets***  Tally is a 10 year old, 7 lb, Tortoiseshell Main Coon mix who found herself in a high kill shelter after her owner passed away. We couldn’t resist her grouchy face but don't let it fool you, Tally is a sweetheart and is affectionate and purry. She has been waiting since November for her forever home!She is a very quiet, calm and laid-back kitty who LOVES her person’s company and gentle pets.  She does not need a lot of space or playtime to be happy and content. But she does need to be the only pet in the home to be happy and successful as well as a quiet home without small children (gentle teens OK). She does like to play and stalk and pounce with her wand toys. She loves more than anything else, sleeping in the human bed at night with her person laying beside them on top of them :)  She loves gentle petting and face rubs are her favorite.  Like most cats, she doesn't love getting picked up for love and carried around but she does tolerate getting picked up if necessary. In the past, she has displayed her torbie”tude” when she gets overstimulated by excessive petting or gets frightened but not anymore as foster family has learned what she does not like. Her other big love?  Her “Bursts” treats! She enjoys her canned cat food diet, getting fed twice daily. We are keeping her on moisture rich canned food to keep her kidneys happy and healthy. She has eye drops 1x daily for chronic dry eye disease and she has responded great to her eye medicine and her eyes are now not causing her any discomfort like they were when she arrived. They are inexpensive and about $10 per month. She does great with getting them applied and knows she gets a yummy reward afterwards. Tallly does well with getting brushed in short sessions and absolutely loves her neck brushed the most. She needs a new human to care and love and dote on her like she deserves.  If you have a quiet home without other pets and are looking for a very easy, low-key, quiet, affectionate companion to make your days less lonely, Tally would be wonderful :)She is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and just had her teeth cleaned and an absessed tooth removed while under anesthesia. Her adoption fee is reduced to $75 (thanks to a donor) and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other cats in your home, they must all be up to date and spayed/neutered prior to application submission.  All members of the family must meet the pet.   Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out.  But we will coach you on alternative methods of managing cats with claws*****We are currently operating by appointment only.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application.
